Elevating The Global Importance Of Content - Search Engine Land (blog)
post ( Global Vs. Local: How To Let Google Know How To Treat Your Site ) I was taken to task by a few readers complaining that supposed global experts only talk about domains and hosting for international sites and not enough about content. Ok, fair criticism, that article was written in response to a dozen posts about hosting and domains where self-proclaimed “experts” gave a lot of incorrect information.

My post was quickly followed by a great “Content is King” article by Andy Atkins-Krüger that went into great detail about the importance of high quality local language content.

Most of my articles have been inspired by trying to answer specific questions I get from readers, trying to clarify standard thinking about multinational search, or as commentary on recent posts elsewhere that weren’t 100% accurate.

Yes, I agree that local language content is the Jan Brady of global search and all the attention and ink goes to solving problems that in the big picture lend the least to customer satisfaction and conversions. So why do we do this? Why does everyone hide from the content question? In many cases it is because we can’t change the process or get funding so we simply replicate our content by whatever means we can, and spend all off our time trying to get it indexed or ranked without worrying about whether it will convert.

All new and existing hotel members will be migrated onto the new enhanced distribution platform. One of Spain's largest financial groups entrusts its learning content ... - PR-CANADA.net (press release)
Caja Madrid - established for some 300 years and currently Spain's fourth largest financial group - has revolutionised its training systems through the use of a learning content management system (LCMS) augmented by a learning management system. The new system - supplied by Giunti Labs, the leading learning and mobile content management solution provider - is intended to improve both the efficiency and cost effectiveness of Caja Madrid's staff training activities.

High levels of employee productivity and efficiency are crucial to Caja Madrid's continued success and growth. This is the main reason why Giunti Labs' learn eXact LCMS represents the most suitable solution for the organisation's training contents production and management.

The project - known as 'Aula Virtual de Caja Madrid' - aims to exploit, and profit from, Caja Madrid's as well as its partners' and collaborators' knowledge. All this is possible through a special system for learning materials development and delivery which is aligned to market rhythm and requirements.

This brand new 'Aula Virtual' supports a web-based content development method that can be used by internal and external subject matter experts as well as by learning object (LO) providers. Since LOs are then managed on the same LCMS and labelled with the same metadata schema, the whole process becomes more efficient from both content reuse and update points of view.

Mariners Team Health Report - Lookout Landing (blog)
Not sure with what though. I was wondering what he was up to while Tui steals the daylights out of his bench spot.

but I would probably say “in the nads” or something along that line. Just not a one word “Groin” answer. Groin is such a stark word just sitting there by itself. I find it somehow disturbing.

I guess the best the Indians can hope for is for him to be the batting version of Bedard — an in-season “acquisition” they already have in their pocket.

Don’t know anything about him as a person, but his work on injury risk seems to be pretty reliable and he seems to have good sources when it comes to player’s injuries and what we can expect regarding recovery. Of all the stuff being done at BPro, his seems to me like the most important—I don’t know a single other person who matches his comprehensive reports and medical knowledge.
